One of my favorite things about living in New Mexico are the flora and fauna. Road runners are the state bird, and we have a ton of them living in our neighborhood! My friends call them "beep beeps" and we love seeing them pop out of thickets of cane cholla cacti. These yellow and sage colored plants are called rabbitbrush, and they're really common in the foothills here. I love the contrast of these two together!
